About

Red Pocket Press celebrates Queer Lunar New Year through zines, food and gatherings. Conceived in 2019, in the Year of the Pig, we've been hosting annual gatherings and have produced zines and prints. We are here to share stories of our queer Asian histories, ancestry and family in the diaspora.

We are based in Narrm (Melbourne) and acknowledge the first storytellers and creators of the land on which we create on. We pay our respects to the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrong Elders past, present and becoming. We extend our respect and gratitude to Aboriginal queer communities – sistergirls, brotherboys, Elders and youth who continue to pave the way in activism, queer joy and community care.
